Phone Pocket Unikko Bag

The Phone Pocket bag is made of padded leather and it features the quilted Unikko pattern. The bag has a snap button closure and a narrow leather shoulder strap that can be adjusted with a knot.

The main material of this product is leather. The inner lining is made of 100% recycled polyester.

Through the membership of the Leather Working Group (LWG) Marimekko is committed to supporting its work of setting globally recognised environmental standards for leather manufacturing.

Unikko was created by Maija Isola in 1964 and has since become an international icon of print design. The founder of Marimekko Armi Ratia believed that it was not possible to faithfully capture the true essence of real flowers in print which is why floral prints were earlier excluded from Marimekko collections. So Maija Isola designed Unikko to be an abstraction of a flower rather than a photorealistic rendition. Today Unikko is a powerful emblem of joy and creativity seamlessl integrated into Marimekko´s design identity.
