The Jokapoika button-up shirt has a relaxed straight fit and it features the Piccolo pattern which is printed in Helsinki. The shirt has a pointed collar a metal button closure and a chest pocket. The cuffed sleeves have slits and metal button closures. There are small side slits at the hem.
The Jokapoika shirt is made of 100% linen.
In 1953 the very year she joined Marimekko Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi created Piccolo a striped fabric pattern painted with vivid brushstrokes. Three years later the Jokapoika (every boy) shirt made from the fabric appeared in stores and the streets – for good it seems.
