Art of printmaking since 1951
Marimekko 75th anniversary items
75 years ago, Marimekko was founded in Helsinki on an idea of joy, optimism and personal empowerment. Three quarters of a century of the art of printmaking calls for something special.
Collaborating with artists has always been the Marimekko way. That’s why we invited print designers Erja Hirvi and Antti Kekki to create something special for the anniversary: together they hand-painted 75 one-of-a-kind serving plates. No two are alike.
These collectibles offer a rare chance to own a little piece of Marimekko history. Each one carries the artist’s vivid brushstrokes and unmistakable human touch, a quality that has always been at the heart of Marimekko’s art of printmaking.
Special anniversary Kukasta kukkaan capsule
The celebration continues with a limited-edition Oiva tableware collection featuring Kukasta kukkaan in a special anniversary colourway. Erja Hirvi brought the joyfully blossoming print to life during a burst of creativity at her summer retreat, fully immersed in floral inspiration.
Each product features a special anniversary label on the base and comes in commemorative packaging, complete with a floral anniversary card inside.
